Let’s take NSW from laggard to leader on renewable energy

In the last 12 months alone, Premier Baird has approved 398 million tonnes of coal to be mined in NSW, that's 52 tonnes for every person in the state.

Yet around us, the world is changing fast. Investment in renewable energy is now double that of coal and gas projects, hitting $276 billion last year.

NSW is lagging behind. Our state is Australia’s biggest climate polluter and only 10% of our electricity is renewable.

Premier Baird, we can do better! Sign on to our campaign to move NSW from a laggard to leader on renewable energy.

At least, exercise some pollution controls over coal and CSG

Our state deserves better, Mike Baird. There are much better options than destroying our state to export coal. We put you in power to take care of our state, not wreck it.

Why encourage coal mining when the likes of Adani have no intention of benefiting Australia along with an abysmal record for polluting

There really is something wrong with politicians and governance in Australia

Our ‘sundrenched’ country produces just 10% of energy used from renewables, yet all of the largest cities are also situated near the ocean and could benefit from ocean wave movement ’milking’for energy production! It would be fantastic if our government could provide financial incentives to support house owners, strata corporations and businesses to make the switch. Budgeting includes foresight and prioritising needs from want’s and that’s where we still expect better results from our political leaders, but yes we know the push from the bottom up can’t be stopped any more any way. Good that an election is just around the corner, so we can speed the process up.

this is insane Mr Baird….. Mining fossil fuels is a dying industry….. we need the life of renewable energy, and surely you must know this….Renewable energy already employs more people than the fossil fuel industry in the world… Get on with real leadership and stop this mess.
