Gladys Berejiklian made some new land-clearing laws
The plight of agribusiness was of great concern because
The trees were growing but their profits hardly grew at all
With such a push, the Aussie bush just had to take a fall.

Put it on the ground, spread it all around
Dig it with a hoe, it will make your flowers grow!

It’s hard to believe we like to consider ourselves a first world nation, but pillage the environment with the zealousness of a bankrupt third world nation.

Consider contacting Royal Family re “Queen’s Canopy movement” Prince Harry, Prince Charles and the Queen herself are involved
and I’m sure would be interested in the urgent need to cease de-forestation – and provide more Koala Habitat?

Also get newspapers on side – so that every time a Koala gets dumped into visiting Dignitaries arms.. they ARE TOLD THAT
KOALAS ARE NOW AN ENDANGERED SPECIES!! Patricia Pears ( aged 80 now) Cooranbong 2265

Our Gladys, visiting the koalas in captivity accompanied by royalty, because let’s face it, there’s nowhere to visit them in the wild. Let’s talk about the deforestation on your watch. Let’s talk about how close koala bears are to extinction. And what the hell are you doing about it? Actively encouraging the destruction of essential habitat. You’re a disgrace!

October 2018. Letter to Gladys Berejiklian: Dear Premier, I hope you enjoyed your visit to Taronga Zoo with Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan yesterday. Love the photo of you all with Australia’s iconic koala bear! Did you tell them this adorable iconic species is being wiped out by unprecedented levels of deforestation in NSW? Under your watch, facilitated by your new ‘biodiversity’ laws. The hypocracy!"

Response so far: “As the matter raised falls under the primary responsibility of the Minister for the Environment, it is appropriate that the Minister considers your correspondence and I have forwarded it accordingly.”

Arghh!! Worst Minister for the Environment, EVER!!! Hope the NCC’s latest planned advertising blitz makes a dint on public opinion. Go NCC! We love what you do!!!

NSW Libs have a lot to answer for – their appalling – careless – allowing of de forestation – and scrapping of the Native Vegetation Act has
allowed Ecocide to rule. Our very own Koalas are becoming a threatened species! (The very animal they show off to visiting
dignitaries and overseas Visitors..) Patricia Pears 2265

Voters!! Remember this lack of foresight at next NSW Election…

Apology- my deep apology to Mother Nature. We the human race are ‘collectively’, responsible for where we find ourselves. We will look back on this time as pure insanity – no longer can we plead ignorance.
Use what you have – do what you can – and where we can’t preserve – plant plant plant Stay beautiful- stay strong.

Scrapping the Native Vegetation Act will open the door to rampant habitat decimation which constitutes Ecocide, defined, in part, as “the extensive damage to, destruction of, or loss of ecosystem(s) of a given territory.”
The crime of Ecocide has yet to be added to the International Criminal Court where currently, Genocide, Crimes Against Humanity, War Crimes and Crimes Of Aggression have a rightful place. When Ecocide is finally added to the ICC list then the court will have the power and authority to try the perpetrators (eg. politicians, mining, oil and coal companies) and if found guilty, prosecute them as criminals.
Habitat can’t speak up and defend itself so someone has to.

This is something we must all think of before we cast our votes tomorrow. Personality politics has no place in our political system. Parties must be judged on their policies and the only party that has consistently defended our wildlife, biosphere, land, water and sustainability is the Greens.
