Thanks for your interest in volunteering at Time2Choose - you are part of something massive! Your help goes a long way to making the event a success and showing the NSW Government we choose a clean energy future.
Now you're here, there are a few different jobs we need help with on the day. The descriptions below should help you decide which you are best suited to, but give Jacqui a call on 9516 1488 if you want further information.
Your job on the day is to talk to people about the Repower campaign and to sign them up to get involved! It's a fun job for anyone passionate about clean energy and building our grassroots movement. You will either be roaming around the crowd chatting to people or be on the Repower stall. We'll brief you on the morning at 10.30am near NSW Parliament.
Marshals will direct marchers on the day. It will be your job to help people find the start location and direct them along the march route once we're underway. Your role is crucial for helping people with all the questions they have on the day and making sure they have a great time. We'll need you ready to go at 10am on Saturday and to commit to the whole day.
Marshal Team Lead
You'll help brief the marshals on the day and answer all of their questions. You will need to be contactable by rally organisers if anything changes throughout the day, so will need a mobile with battery. You will need to be across the march route and ensure we are sticking to it. We'll need you from 10.30am on Saturday, as well as some commitment before the day to ensure you're up to speed on the details of the day.
You'll be on hand to help the photographer and videographer on the day with the getting the best shots, or you could be pulled in to help with wrangling media and assisting the media liaison. You will need a mobile phone with good battery capacity, and be committed to the whole day. We do need a driver for our photographer too, so if you have a car and are confident with city driving please let us know. We will need you from 10am.
Drivers will come in early on Saturday morning and park their car to reserve a space for the horse floats. As horses arrive you will then move your car on so the horses can park and unload. We need parkers behind Parliament House, and on Chalmers street with your own car. This will be from 7am on Saturday morning, so one for the early birds! It will be a crucial role to help our horse riders, making the rally accessible for them.
Set up and Pack down
This important role will help ensure the success of the event overall and that everyone who comes can see where to go, and everything else they need for the day. The logistics team lead will be there to let you now what needs doing and to oversee the set up. This role is also crucial for leaving the city as we found it and caring for our beautiful urban environment. We will need set up crew from 7am, and pack down will finish at 5pm.
